What Are
Dog Health Problems Symptoms
Really Telling Us?

Dog health problems symptoms tell you all is not well with your dog. Dog illness symptoms are the signs, the clues that indicate that something is wrong. If you have a sick dog, he won't be able to tell you what's wrong, will he? All you have are the signs that something is not quite right. The symptoms are the clues. When your dog exhibits a symptom, this is his body's way of telling you that you need to pay attention.

dog health problems symptomsNot feeling well?

Everything necessary to maintain health already exists in your dog's body. Inside every cell, there is a inherent, restorative all knowing intelligence that keeps the body well. The body is...

  • Self regulating - For example, blood pressure, blood sugar and heart rate are all self regulating. If all is well, the body does this automatically. You don't have to do anything.
  • Self healing - For example, if your dog cuts his paw, the vet might have to stitch it up and clean it, but the wound will heal all by itself. It's not the stitching and cleaning that heals it. The body does this automatically. You don't have to do anything more than keep it clean.

So, when the body gets sick or injured, this natural healing force gets busy restoring healing balance. Sometimes though, the body's natural healing abilities become  impaired or impeded. Here's why!

Why Do Dog Illness Symptoms Happen?

  • because your dog's body is not getting adequate or appropriate nutrients, oxygen, fluid to maintain total health
  • because your dog's waste elimination system is not getting rid of toxic waste from food digestion, metabolism and environmental influences.

This is called the Law of Cause and Effect which says that, " for every effect there is a definite cause, and likewise for every cause there is a definite effect! "

This cause and effect law forms the basic ideas of holistic healing and natural health care. If you can understand that for every symptom you see, there is a deeper root cause that you can't see, you will be successful at solving your dog health problems symptoms. If not, you will be stuck with treating the symptom that you can see, for temporary relief only. The true cause remains, in other words. This is also true for people who seek natural remedies for symptom relief.

For dogs with common dog health problems, the body has external openings through which waste can be eliminated and symptoms seen. These natural openings are:

  • mouth
  • nose
  • eyes
  • ears
  • urinary opening
  • rectum
  • vagina
  • penis
  • skin

Common Symptoms of a Sick Dog

Remember that the symptoms are the clues. So before you run to Google ( which is probably how you wound up here ) to look up remedies for blah, blah...ask yourself what might be the deeper cause of why your dog has symptoms in the first place. Work on solving the cause of the symptom and the symptom effect will disappear.

Here are some other common dog health problems symptoms that indicate a deeper problem:

  • dull or matted coat
  • hair loss
  • skin, flakey, itchy or sore, hot spots, blackened pigment
  • eyes red or runny
  • bad breath
  • diarrhea
  • constipation
  • foul, smelly, odd colored stool
  • swollen anal glands
  • frequent urination
  • urinating in the house
  • straining to urinate
  • vomiting
  • excessive drinking of water
  • lip licking
  • excessive panting
  • lethargy, too quiet, only wants to sleep
  • runny nose, breathing problems
  • allergies
  • coughing
  • sneezing
  • fever, chills and shivering
  • pain
  • tumours, lumps, fatty lipomas
  • cancer

There Are Only 5 Basic Requirements for Health

The body's needs are simple. Here they are:

  1. Oxygen - your dog needs to breathe clean air
  2. Movement - your dog needs to move his body
  3. Water - your dog needs to drink clean water
  4. Nutrients - your dog needs to eat food that will nourish his body to sustain good health
  5. Waste removal - your dog needs to eliminate waste from food digestion, metabolism, and environmental influences.

Here's an example of what I mean. If you go to the vet for ' something to stop the itching ', the vet will give you ' something to stop the itching ', but this doesn't address why your dog is itching in the first place.  The cause of the itching still exists. In reality, nothing has been ' fixed ' or solved at all. Although it is absolutely necessary to see the vet sometimes, stop and think for a moment. If you give your sick dog a drug for the symptoms, are you interfering with his own body's attempt at, and ability to heal itself on it's own?

So honestly, ask yourself if your dog's needs ( above ) are being met adequately?

Here are a few thoughts I have as it regards dog health problems symptoms in relation to your dog's basic needs and the deeper cause. See if anything rings a bell.

  • Many dogs don't get enough outside exercise and so don't move their bodies enough to stay strong and breathe enough oxygen rich air, deeply. Movement is necessary to carry oxygen to cells and keep the intercelluar fluids moving to eliminate waste through the lymphatic system.
  • Many dogs drink tap water which contains toxic chemicals such as chlorine and fluoride. Yikes! Nobody should drink that water.
  • Many dogs only eat a processed, dry dog food diet every day of their lives and never get any fresh food at all ever. Everybody knows processed nutrient deficient food isn't good for anybody!
  • Many dogs have bodies overloaded with harmful toxins from food, drugs, pet vaccinations, chemicals from flea/tick/heartworm preventatives and household cleaning products leaving their natural ability to detox and eliminate waste, at high risk. When was the last time you were at the vet and WHY?

Do you think any of these things might be increasing the chances of dog health problems symptoms? Be honest with yourself.

The Natural Solution to Dog Health Problems Symptoms

The healthy lifestyle habits and holistic healing information on this website are non toxic, non invasive, and have no side effects. Toxins cause disease. True health comes from helping the body get rid of toxins in it's own natural way.

The longer dog health problems symptoms and the underlying disease cause have been present, the longer it will take to clean up the mess. These ideas are not new. Years ago, doctors practiced medicine exactly this way. Drugs should be saved for critical care intervention. In the meantime, better health can be achieved by helping the body the heal itself.

It's Important to Watch for the Healing Crisis

If you decide to stop allopathic drug treatment for dog health problems symptoms in favour of a more holistic way, it is important to know that if a sick dog or sick person is highly toxic, and has been in this state of health for a long time a healing crisis can happen. This means that the sick dog or person, may appear to get worse before he gets better.

If you want to take your dog off of long term steroid drugs then you will need your vet to help you wean off. Do not take your dog off these drugs cold turkey. You will need the vet or some other capable person to help you with the weaning off process.

Once your dog is off the immune suppressing drugs and has begun a natural holistic program for healing, some people may become very upset and worry that their pet is much worse, and not getting well at all. Please be patient and wait. This is a necessary part of the wellness process and your sick dog will be better for experiencing it. Do not give up. Putting your dog back on drugs to suppress the illness symptoms will only put you back where you started and stop the natural healing process.

The next step is recovery.
