Boxer with Allergies

My boxer started having allergies at 6 months old.

I had her on hills science diet chicken and barley since birth.

She started with red eyes, licking her paws red, shaking her head and ear infections.

I decided to take her off of it.

She’s just turned a year old it’s been 2 weeks since I started homemade lamb, brown rice, broccoli, green beans, apple and some yogurt.

She is still licking her paws. 🐾

I need your help desperately. My heart breaks for her 😥

Thanks for getting in touch.

Your lovely boxer is very young to be having these issues, although her problems are not at all unique in dogs so young.

I'm very happy that you decided to take the bull by the horns, get her off of Science Diet and do your own diet thing. We can refine what you're feeding in order to make it more suitable for your boxer's particular problem at this time.

Just so you know and can be prepared...2 weeks is not nearly enough time to see any improvements. The body makes changes slowly and in it's own time, and there's nothing you can do to rush it, even though you want that.

So, my first piece of advice is, R E L A X. LOL!

Just know that you are on the right track, and your dog will feel better with your help sooner than you know.
