When making a homemade diet dog food what would be a good carbohydrate substitute to eliminate yeast in the gut biome GI tract?

Good Carbohydrates to Use for Homemade Dog Food
by: Sandra

Hi Mark,

I would use a leafy green vegetable as the carbohydrate for homemade dog food. Romaine lettuce, spinach, parsley, spring mix.

Alternatively, you could use broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage.

Small amounts of finely chopped or pureed green vegetables provide lots of nutrients while keeping dietary sugars low. This is important when trying to help your dog get over a yeasty condition.

Hope that helps,
Sandra
