What is Muscle Testing?

How Does It Work to Detect Nerve Energy?

Muscle testing is a method of analyzing the body's structural, physical, and nutritional needs. It is sometimes called, Applied Kinesiology, or Contact Reflex Analysis ( CRA ).

Muscle testing provides a simple, safe and accurate way to uncover the root of a health problem. It will also provide the answers for correcting that health problem. The body's own reflexes are used to do this.

CRA works through the body's energy field, to determine weakened, imbalanced, and stressed areas. The body systems and individual organs are tested for toxicity, infections, metabolic function and emotional imbalances.

A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. So is your body only as strong as it's weakest area. If you were to look at your cells under a microscope, you would see that they are constantly moving. Whenever there is movement, there is energy radiating outward. Our body is a mass of moving cells. Therefore, we all have an energy field surrounding us.

To help you visualize this, think of 'Pig Pen' in the Snoopy cartoons. Pig Pen

He has a cloud of dirt around him all the time. We have an energy field around us all the time. We are all born with genetic weaknesses. Because of this we will have holes in our energy field.

The Nervous System consists of hundreds of miles of nerves. These nerves carry electrical energy and connect with every organ, gland, muscle and tissue in the body. There are approximately seventy five known reflex points on the skin, which represent various organs, glands and bone structures.

When the body becomes ill, there is an interruption of nerve energy to these reflex points. When the body is healthy, nerve energy is free flowing.

When a deficiency at any point is discovered, exact structural and/or nutritional support can be given to the body, to help it recover.

Most health disorders share the same root cause. That is, improper body function brought on by nutritional deficiencies, poor lifestyle choices and toxic environmental agents.

A great degree of accuracy is possible with muscle testing. It will even uncover deficiencies at a sub-clinical level. That is when the health problem is so tiny, the person may not even be aware of it.

How is Muscle Testing Done?

There are several different ways.

Here is an easy method that almost everyone can do, with a little practice.

Look at this picture.

Muscle testing with fingers

Using the hand that is most comfortable for you, put the middle finger on top of the index finger. You must ask a question that will give a yes or no answer.

Press down with the middle finger while resisting up with the index finger.

If the index finger is strong, the middle finger will stay in place. This is a yes answer.

If the middle finger falls off, or slips, this is a no answer.

The difference in the feeling of strong and weak can be very subtle. You might have to practice this for a while to get the hang of it.

I especially like this method for testing animals, because I don't need another person to help.

Simply put your other hand on the dog and ask your question...such as...does this dog have an over abundance of yeast?

Another Method

Another common way to muscle test is this one. The person being tested will extend their arm out.

The tester will use the subject's arm muscle as an indicator. When the tester's finger comes near to, or touches a healthy reflex point, the arm muscle remains very strong. The tester will not be able to push the subject's arm down without a lot of force.

Likewise, if the tester's finger comes near to, or touches an unhealthy reflex point, the subject's arm muscle will not be able to withstand force from the tester. The arm will fall, or become weak, due to nerve energy interruption.

Muscle testing is a wonderful tool. The body will tell you exactly where it is weak, stressed or unbalanced. You just have to know how to ask it.

Results of Muscle Testing

Because the body will tell you exactly where the problem is, you only have to take herbs for the weakest area of the body. In other words...the root cause. Then we WAIT, and watch health improve.

All of our herbs are alive. They are not synthetic or man-made and they also have an energy field. When the herbs are presented to the body, if your body wants those herbs, the two energy fields will merge, and there will be a strong test.. If the body doesn't want the herbs, it will weaken and push them away.

You may test favourably for several different herbs, but your body may not want to, or be able to, take them all at the same time. It is important to know that herbs work synergistically together.

The energy of one, may increase or decrease the energy of another. If these two herbs were taken together, one might negate the other.

Muscle testing will determine which herbs can be used together, as well as, the required dosages.

With muscle testing there is no guess work as to what the body needs to become healthy.

Muscle Testing and Your Dog

Because a dog is unable to hold his arm out, I use his owner or another person to help with this. That person will put their hand on the dog, and the dog's energy will pass through to the person helping, and testing can be done as described above.

In my experience, animals are usually very interested in, and cooperative during, this process. They somehow just seem to know that you are trying to help them. That is what makes working with pets, so satisfying. They are able to go with the flow.
