My partner Fergus and I retired in 2003...he from many years in banking with a pension, and I from self employment, with no pension. The thing was, although retired, we still needed to earn an income.

So we put our thinking caps on. We didn't want to get jobs again. One day, Fergus said to me..."Why don't you make your own website? We can make money from your website".
