Sandy Loves Dogs and Lives in Prince Edward County, Ontario

Yes, I'm Sandra King, and it's true that...Sandy loves dogs! You can learn more About Me right here. It's what I do...helping people to help their dogs get healthy and stay healthy.

My love of dogs and cats, and the unexplained death of my beloved Rosie, led me to learn everything I could about holistic health care for pets. I knew there had to be more answers. I continue to learn.

By way of introduction

I don't seem to have very many good pictures of myself. I even had to crop my partner Fergus out of this one. Sorry Ferg!

Sandy Loves Dogs Who would have thought that at this point in my life, I would be sitting at my computer writing about Sandy Loves Dogs....and not just writing about loving dogs, but telling you how I express my love of dogs by helping them get healthier.

If you knew me well, you'd know how far I've come in just a few short years.

Retirement

In 2004, my partner Fergus and I, retired to gorgeous Prince Edward County, located on the Bay of Quinte, in south eastern Ontario, Canada. We live just outside of a small hamlet called Cherry Valley, which is not far from the main town of Picton.

"The County" as it is so affectionately called, is almost an island. It is a small piece of land that juts out into the Bay of Quinte, which is part of Lake Ontario. It is a pastoral paradise here, surrounded by water. It feels like another world.

We love old century homes, and since arriving in "The County" have restored three of them. Currently, we live in the third one, an old 1850's farmhouse, located very close to Sand Banks Provincial Park.

Here's where we live.

Our latest project, has been the completion of an addition at the back of our house. We have incorporated a small stone building from the 1860's into the renovation. It is now a lovely bedroom.

The walls of this stone building now form the interior walls of the gorgeous livingroom/sunroom, kitchenette and bathroom. Upstairs there is a lofted bedroom and a wonderful large deck that gives a fabulous view of the woods and fields beyond.

Our gorgeous new, pet friendly, self contained vacation rental suite is called Grey Stone Return. It is available for rent daily, for weekends or weekly, to people who would like to visit Prince Edward County. Come for the weekend, and stay forever. That's what happened to us. We love it so much here.

Take a look at Grey Stone Return here.

There is so much to do and see in Prince Edward County, Ontario... everything from beaches at the Sand Banks Provincial Park, to award winning wineries... from fine dining to world class scenery. Bring your bike and explore the country roads.

Come spend some time with us...

For anyone who loves dogs, loves to be with their dog, and would love to bring their dog on vacation with them, come visit us in Prince Edward County, Ontario.

Take your dog for a walk down to Soup Harbour. Look out over Lake Ontario. Explore the beach. It is usually deserted. Skip some stones into the water. Throw a piece of driftwood for your dog. It is just a short jaunt from our house. Nobody to bother you here...

Migrate together. All dogs love to migrate ( move forward together ) with a trusted pack leader...that would be you. I first came across that term, while reading Be the Pack Leader by Cesar Millan : The Dog Whisperer

I love that term...migrate together. Walking together, migrating, moving forward together with a purpose, is a primal, ancient ritual, that dogs and humans have been doing together for thousands of years.

I love dogs. I love to walk with my dogs. I think they love it too. They always let me know when it's time to go for The Walk.

At night here, you can hear the coyotes yip and howl. Your dog's canid cousins are close by, doing their primal thing. The pack is on the move.

A Little History

Growing up, our family pets were among my best friends. They were always there, ever ready to play, or make me feel better when I felt blue. So many pets, gone now, but never forgotten. They will live in my memory forever. Forever loved.

It was from my parents that I learned to love animals. Every once in a while, a new pet would show up at our house. Who knows from where?

My father would just shrug and say " Well, you know your Mother, she loves dogs "...and that's all the explanation there would be. It could have been a cat too, in fact I think there were actually more cats than dogs...but who's counting?

It never occurred to me that my love of dogs could lead me to the work I do now. Since retiring and becoming a Natural Health Care Coach, more and more of my wonderful clients are dogs.

Our pets are completely at our mercy. They must do what we say, when we say it, and they must eat what we give them. Can you imagine living your life like that, having someone else make all your choices for you? Since you love dogs, make the choices good ones, natural ones.

Holistic health care for pets is our special area of expertise. It is so heart warming to watch a sick pet get better. We offer health assessments for people and pets and holistic solutions are available here.

People talking to people, one on one is about building relationships. Our clients and customers are wonderful. Don't hesitate to contact me, using the form below, if you would like to know more.

So, Sandy loves dogs, indeed...

I am so happy that I am able to share my knowledge and my love of dogs, with you on this website...and guess what? I made this website myself.

SBI! Monthly Billing Option

Can you believe it? I am having so much fun creating my www.Dog-Nutrition-Naturally.com website, and I'm learning so much about sharing my passion with the world. It doesn't get any better than that...and it couldn't be easier.

Soon I will be building another website for our pet friendly vacation rental suite Grey Stone Return.

My Business is My Passion and I've Gone International

Thanks to this website and the internet, I have the whole world at my fingertips now. I can help a lot more dogs this way. I am using Internetwork Marketing to reach and teach people I would never have been able to help before. Isn't that amazing? Someone in England for example, can contact me, and I'm able to share my knowledge with them.

Then they know for sure that Sandy loves dogs.

Our Family

Sandy loves dogs and lives with three of them... Jack, Maggie and Tuxedo...and five cats also, four of them Siamese. The Senior Meezers are Bill and Cuddlebunny. They are best friends. Here they are sharing a box.

...and the Irish Meezers are Rory and Liam. Here's a picture of the boys...

...and let's not forget the Princess Girl, our little lame barn cat, Miss Mia.

Oh, and Sandy not only loves dogs, she loves Fergus too! Fergus also loves dogs. That's a good thing. Here we are, Sandra and Fergus, with our dogs...from left, Maggie, Fergus, Jack, and I'm holding little Tuxedo. Take a close look at these dogs. They are very healthy dogs.

Thanks Goes To

Brenda is also currently building a website herself on the topic of Candida. I wish to thank Brenda for my interest in herbs and Natural Health Care. She started me on that journey fourteen years ago.

Very special thanks goes to Sharon Krock, our friend and neighbour for her wonderful series of Pippin Puppy Pictures. Sharon's little dog Pippin, was the inspiration behind these illustrative cartoons interspersed throughout the pages of this website.

...oh, and thank you Sharon for your jars of Kelly Road Jam Extraordinaire. Our guests at Grey Stone Return love it !

...and especially,

to all the pets I've known in my life, who taught me so much. If Sandy loves dogs, it would be because she learned unconditional love from them, and a sense of humour.
