Holistic Recovery Dog Stories

People love dog stories! Especially stories with a happy ending.

It is important to share the story of how your dog recovered from illness using holistic methods.

Sometimes people can't decide what to do?

Sharing your happy, holistic, healthy dog story, can mean the difference between starting on the holistic path, or not. Those of us who use these methods know how well they work.

Here's one woman's dog story...

Read this article written by Kim Parker for, ' In The Dog House ' magazine. Her words are heart felt, and very flattering to me as her mentor. Kim has since become a valued friend.

A Wonderful Testimonial from Kim

Is there anything that makes us feel inadequate more quickly than a sick pooch?

They peer at you with those big, soft eyes and the “ I can’t feel good” look!

Panic sets in, and the questions come fast and furiously. What did he get into? Should I call the vet now or wait? Does he have a temperature? What do his poops look like? The list goes on!

We’ve all been there. I’ve experienced this pattern countless times in the thirty years of canine companionship, but when I rescued my last friend, (a little Bullie named Fergus), thisfamiliar pattern changed.

Conventional medicine was failing him.

I had searched my vast library of holistic books, recognized a myriad of symptoms, and was feeling desperate!

With my hands gently stroking him, he sent me a message...as they often do, if we would only listen. “Relax Kim, you know what to do.”

Somewhere between the last stroke, a tear dripping off my chin, and a deep sigh of resolution, the light went on! I called a natural health care practitioner and Fergus and I embarked on a very new learning curve (for me) and healing journey (for him).

Why am I telling you this story?

I believe that when we are ready and open we can learn amazing, empowering, and ironically, very basic things. If we are brave enough to trust ourselves and our pets to heal as nature intended, we can improve and enhance, both our lives in the process.

I believe we need to ask ourselves and our vets to try a proven, much gentler wa...one that addresses root causes and not just symptoms. We need to require our trusted vets to work with us holistically and step away from the “quick fix” mentality, to the more gradual, gentle, cleansing process.

We have choices!

It’s no mistake that we’re drawn to our animal companions. They have much to teach us. Let’s decide to take the time to listen and learn.
